About this policy
This policy describes how Yahaal Company handles information through Yahaal Delivery Agent (com.yahaal.deliveryapp), our delivery app for employees. Drivers sign in using a company-issued phone number and credentials supplied by Yahaal; the app does not offer public account registration. This policy applies to the driver app, separately from our customer privacy policy.
Driver account and delivery information
The app uses your assigned driver ID, name, company-issued phone number and login credentials to authenticate you and provide access to your work. It processes assigned orders, basket identifiers, delivery status changes and delivery-related records to support delivery operations. Login session information is stored on your device so you can remain signed in.
Location, including background location
Yahaal Delivery Agent collects and sends your device location to Yahaal to enable driver location tracking for delivery operations, including when the app is in the background or not in use. Only your latest reported location coordinates and update timestamp are stored with your driver account using Google Firebase. Each new location update replaces the previous location and timestamp; Yahaal does not retain a history of your movements.
The app explains location use before requesting consent and location permission. On Android, background tracking requires Allow all the time access. Tracking can continue when you switch apps or your screen is off. You can change or revoke location access in your device settings. When location access is required for your work, declining or revoking it can prevent access to the delivery list.
Camera and basket scanning
The app requests camera access to scan basket QR codes and verify baskets for an order. You can decline camera access and enter basket numbers manually. Camera access can be changed in your device settings.
Device information, notifications and diagnostics
The app sends device information, including device brand/model, operating system and version, app version and available device identifiers, with a notification token to Yahaal for app operation and delivery notifications. Google Firebase services support location storage, push notifications and crash/error reporting. Diagnostic information helps identify and investigate app failures.
Who can access driver location
Only Yahaal operations staff can view driver locations for delivery operations. Driver locations are not made visible to customers. Google Firebase processes and stores location information as a service provider for Yahaal, as described above.
Account management and data deletion
Yahaal administrators create and manage driver accounts. Drivers use company-issued credentials; the app does not offer account registration. When a driver leaves the company, Yahaal deactivates the account. Deactivation disables account access; it does not mean that the account and its associated records have been deleted.
Retention and leaving the company
Yahaal deletes the remaining latest-location record when a driver resigns and deactivates the driver account when the driver leaves the company. Deactivation is not deletion of delivery records. Yahaal retains delivery and operational records after a driver leaves; these records are not deleted as part of account deactivation and are not available for deletion through the app.
For questions about your driver account, account deactivation or retained information, email support@yahaal.com. Include your driver ID and explain what you need help with. Do not send your password. The practices described here cover account deactivation and deletion of the latest-location record upon resignation; they do not offer a separate service to delete data on request while keeping the account active.
Your choices and contact
You can manage camera, location and notification permissions in your device settings. Changing permissions does not itself delete information already sent to Yahaal. Contact support@yahaal.com with questions about this policy or your driver information.
